Slave bill of sale, 1812 Jan. 21.

Bill of sale for Fanny and her three children, sold to Reading Grist of Beaufort County, N.C. by Thomas Brooks of Pitt County, N.C., for eight hundred dollars, 21 Jan. 1812. Statement on verso, March term, 1812, certifies that the bill of sale was proved in court by the oath of G.L. Blount, a witness.
